On the reconstruction front line: Ukrainian municipalities and the funding landscape

Ukrainian municipalities, local governments, citizens and volunteers not only face the challenges of war, but also have to rebuild damaged infrastructure, assist internally displaced persons, provide basic services to the population, and support the army. Currently, these efforts are being funded by local budgets, assistance from twin cities, humanitarian funds and volunteer projects, as well as government grants and state-funded projects. However, there is an urgent need to increase funding and make it more accessible for municipalities. At this online event, CEE Bankwatch launched a series of reports exploring the availability of funding for municipalities at local, national and international levels.
